Stretching at your Desk
Do you sit at your desk for hours every day? If so, you have probably noticed how stiff and tired your body becomes from just sitting. Take 2-3 minutes every hour or so and do these stretches......you won't be disappointed at the refreshment they bring!
-Sit up tall, but relaxed. Relax your arms beside you (not resting on arm rest). Push your right shoulder towards the floor while gently tilting your head toward the left (face is looking forward). Hold for 20 seconds then switch to the other side. Repeat!
-Sit up tall. Bend your arms at a 90 degree angle with your fists in the air (like a goal post). Now gently push your elbows behind you and hold.
-Stand up with your feet a few inches apart. Hindging at the hips, lean your upper body toward the left and hold. Switch sides.
-(This one takes balance) Stand with your feet shoulder width apart. Bring your left knee up towards your chest and grab it with your hands. Hold for 10-20 seconds. Switch sides.
Enjoy!
